Job Description
We are seeking a professional to manage, optimize, and ensure the integrity of distributed, high-performance, modern databases. The ideal candidate has solid experience with open-source databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MariaDB, and more, along with a strong understanding of security and scalability best practices.
Responsibilities
- Manage relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc.)
- Implement backup, security, replication, and monitoring routines
- Optimize database performance and query execution
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams on deployments and integrations
- Propose architectural improvements for scalability in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, etc.)
Requirements
- Proven experience with open-source databases (PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc.)
- Strong SQL skills and familiarity with NoSQL concepts
- Knowledge in performance tuning, indexing, partitioning, and replication
- Comfortable working in Linux environments and CLI tools
- Familiarity with backup, monitoring, and security tools
Nice to Have (Differentials)
- Experience with managed cloud services (e.g., AWS RDS, GCP Cloud SQL)
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
- Experience with clustering and high availability setups
- Intermediate technical English
